Description
Catalysis of hydrogen peroxide decomposition. The test tube contains hydrogen peroxide and black manganese dioxide. Hydrogen peroxide naturally decomposes to water and oxygen, but the process is greatly speeded by the presence of manganese dioxide. The manganese dioxide is itself not changed at the end of the process, which is the defining feature of catalysis.
