Artist's Description

Human brain from the front, computer artwork. The largest part of the brain is the folded cerebrum. This controls conscious thoughts and actions. Across the base of the brain in this view is the highly folded cerebellum, which controls balance and posture. At bottom centre is the brainstem. This controls unconscious actions such as breathing, and links the brain to the rest of the body through the spinal cord (not seen).
