Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Domestic robots. Joe Engelberger leaning against the domestic robot Helpmate, with the binocular vision system BiSight at lower right. Helpmate can move independently around a hospital to deliver medical records, drugs and food to medical staff and patients. It uses a stored map of the building to determine its exact route. Any unexpected obstacles in its path can be detected by high frequency sound (ultrasound) sensors and a video camera. Doors and elevators can be opened and operated by radio signals from the robot. Joe Engelberger is the founder of HelpMate Robotics, Danbury, Connecticut, USA.
