Description
Grand Central Terminal construction. Historical illustration of a cutaway view of Grand Central Terminal train station under construction in New York City, New York, USA. This was the third station on this site, after Grand Central Depot and Grand Central Station. This new building was 183 by 91 metres, with an elevation of 32 metres. Built on two levels, it was designed with lines for both intercity and suburban trains. Artwork from 'Chemins de Fer, Automobiles' (1911) by French civil engineer Max de Nansouty (1854-1913), part of the 'Les merveilles de la science' series of 1867-1891 by Louis Figuier.
