Glioblastoma cells, fluorescence deconvolution micrograph. Fluorescent dyes have been used to highlight cellular structures and proteins: cell nuclei (blue), actin (green), alpha-synuclein (red). Glioblastomas are a type of brain cancer arising from glial cells (one of the support tissues found in the brain). Alpha-synuclein is a protein found in neural tissues.
