Description
Beer froth. Froth on the surface of beer in a brewing vat. Beer is usually made from a solution of malted barley flavoured with hops. Yeast is added to ferment the liquid, turning the sugar into alcohol. This fermentation process results in carbon dioxide being released. Here, the carbon dioxide has mixed with yeast cells on the surface to produce the froth. The froth will be scraped off the surface of the vat.
