Description
Crab Claws. The claws of a giant freshwater crab found in a stream. The claws are serrated and used primarily in defence by crabs. Crabs are crustaceans with a short broad body, four pairs of legs and claws (or pincers). Most species of crab are found in or near the ocean but some are terrestrial and others live in freshwater. A number of crab species are used for food. Photographed in Ecuador.
