Description
Fractal 3-D geometry. Computer graphic image entitled Dragon Ridge with a false-colour sky added in the background. The image was derived from the Julia fractal equation. Fractal images are usually generated in the complex plane where a complex number has two coordinates. In this case a 3-D image has been obtained by giving each point of the complex plane a different height according to the time needed by the fractal equation, when iterated in a given point, to reach either the infinite or zero.
