Artist's Description
Foundry. Foundry worker casting molten metal into blocks. He is wearing a protective suit, hard hat and a visor. The metal is poured from the furnace (upper left) into a metal mould. The metal will then be allowed to cool into solid metal blocks. Heat from the molten metal is reflected away by the shiny surface of the protective suit, which covers all of his body. It also protects the wearer from molten metal spark showers.
