Everlasting flower (Bracteantha bracteata. The everlasting or strawflower flowers from spring until autumn. What look like the flower's petals are actually bracts (modified leaves), which have a straw-like texture. It is the centre of the flower that contains clusters of tiny individual flowers, or florets.
