Description
Close-up view of a drill bit encrusted with tiny diamonds. The tiny diamonds are encased in a metal matrix to bind them to the drill bit. This is used to cut, polish or trim metal components. The diamonds used are flawed, from a type known as bort' that have no use as gemstones. Diamond tools have a high efficiency, require a low grinding force (with lower frictional heating) and are wear-resistant.
