Description
Dew on a spider's web. Dew consists of droplets of condensation that form on exposed surfaces in the early morning and late evening. A spider's web is formed of threads of spider silk (gossamer), spun from fibroin, an elastic protein polymer that can be stretched 30 to 40 percent of its length before it breaks. This is a close-up view of the web of a Madagascar orb-weaver spider (Nephila madagascariensis).
