Description
Crystal Palace. This was an iron and glass building constructed in Hyde Park, London, England, for the Great Exhibition of 1851. This is the central exhibition space, with a curved roof enclosing live elm trees growing in the park, and a fountain and statues. The roof was 33 metres high. The building, which was later moved to South London, was destroyed by fire in 1936. This is a set of two photographs intended for use as a stereoscopic (3-D) image. The photographs are from slightly different angles. When viewed correctly, the brain overlays the two images to create a 3-D picture.
