Description
A crystal of blue topaz. Topaz is a silicate of aluminium and fluorine and can occur in many colours including yellow, blue, green, violet, reddish-brown and colourless. Clear or finely- coloured varieties are used as gemstones. This specimen measures 15 x 12 cm and was found in Virgem da Lapa, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
