Description
Spectral colours. Various colour components of two 'white' light beams, seen after refraction by prisms. Although most people are taught that there are seven colours in the spectrum, there is in fact a countless number. Each 'colour' may be defined by a wavelength, and there are countless discrete wavelengths in the visible range. Note also the additive colour effects where the spectra cross over.
