Description
Coronal anatomical orientation plane. Computer artwork of a human body, showing one of the three different orientation planes used as a reference in anatomy. This is the coronal (or frontal) plane (blue), which divides the body into back and front (dorsal and ventral, or posterior and anterior) portions. An arrow shows the standard direction of view of this plane used in artworks, scans and other imaging methods. The other two planes are the sagittal plane and the axial plane. For all three planes, see C020/0061.
