Light micrograph of the eye's cornea showing, from top to bottom, the non-keratinized stratified squamous corneal epithelium, a thin acellular Bowman's layer, the corneal stroma with collagen fibres and interspersed keratocytes, a thick Descemet's membrane and a very thin endothelium.
