Description
Communion wafer. An unleavened wafer or host, marked with a cross, eaten by priests and congregation in Christian Eucharist services. The wafer represents the body of Christ, and is eaten in commemoration of Jesus' Last Supper. In the Catholic Church it is believed that the consecrated host truly becomes the body of Christ.
