Description
MODEL RELEASED: A girl using an inhaler with a 'Volumatic' adaptor to control an asthma attack. The adaptor allows the medication to be inhaled more easily. The inhaler spray is delivered into the chamber and remains there until it is breathed in via a valve in the mouthpiece. Asthma is a disorder of the bronchial tubes which causes recurrent breathing difficulties. The inhaler relieves the symptoms with a measured dose of medication administered by an aerosol mechanism. However the act of inhaling just as a burst of high pressure gas is fired into the mouth is not easy, or particularly pleasant, especially for a young child. Hence the need for the adaptor.
