The padded physiotherapy seat (partially seen at bottom right) and table are designed to support the girl in order to correct the postural problems she has. The girl is playing with a toy. This occupational therapy is aimed at ensuring that the girl can lead as normal a life as possible. Cerebral palsy is a developmental abnormality caused by damage to the brain of a baby during late pregnancy, childbirth or early childhood. It can result in anything from slight weakness and a lack of limb coordination to complete paralysis.
