An Address of Thanks to Mr. Influenzy", after a caricature of 1803 by S.W. Feres. The members of the medical profession are seen thanking 'Mr. Influenzy for his recent visit to the country'. There has always been a historical mistrust of the ethics of the medical profession, seen by the public as cashing- in on sickness through the production and selling of many proprietary cures. An epidemic of influenza was recorded in the UK in 1802-3."
