18th century painting by British painter Samuel Scott (1702–1772) showing the building of Westminster Bridge, London, England. This shows the state of the construction on the bridge at 1742. Work on Westminster Bridge started in 1738 and it was opened in 1750. Behind the unfinished bridge from left to right is Saint Johns, Smith Square, Westminster Hall, Westminster Abbey, and the tower of Saint Margaret's Church.
