Coloured computed tomography (CT) scan of an axial section through the brain of a 62-year-old patient with arterial hypertension (high blood pressure), showing a large hyperdense region (dark, upper right) in the left cerebral hemisphere following a recent stroke. This stroke has caused right hemiplegia - complete paralysis of the right side of the body.
