Gorello springs. Man bathing in the hot waters of the Gorello thermal springs, near Saturnia, Tuscany, Italy. The mineral-rich water of these springs has led to the formation of pools of travertine at the falls. The water has a temperature of around 37.5 degrees Celsius, much the same as the human body. Bathing in the springs has been encouraged as a panacea for millennia. The spring is heated geothermically, from the volcanically active Bolsena region.
