Description
Bacteria research. Technician sterilising a loop that will be used to transfer a small sample of urine onto agar in a petri dish. Any bacteria that grow will be cultured and identified to help doctors diagnose the cause of illness. The stacks of petri dishes contain cled agar, which is specifically used for urine samples because it provides an ideal nutrient medium for bacteria that infect the urinary tract.
