Description
Baby spider. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of an unidentified baby garden spider. Baby spiders are called spiderlings. The head is to the right, behind the nearer of the raised forelegs. Two sensory palps, one either side of the mouth area, are below and right of the head. They help the spider to find and manipulate its food. Magnification x33 at 6x7cm size.
