Description
Assorted cereals. Ears of four cereal crops. They are (from left): rye, oat, wheat and barley. The wheat, rye and barley grains are often ground into flour to make bread. Oats are used in porridge and the oat, rye and barley grains are often fermented to make alcoholic drinks. All the crops are a good source of carbohydrates, a major source of energy in the diet.
