Description
Arsinoitherium, illustration. This extinct paenungulate herbivore was a prehistoric rhinoceros-like mammal that is related to modern animals such as elephants. The body length was around 3 metres. Arsinoitherium lived during the late Eocene and early Oligocene in northern Africa, from 36 to 30 million years ago.
