Description
Arctic lake with reflected clouds and surrounding mountains. Photographed at midnight during the Arctic summer. At high Arctic latitudes, the Sun remains above the horizon for many days during the summer. Conversely, in the winter, there is a period of perpetual night when the Sun does not rise for many days. This is caused by the tilt of the Earth's axis. Photographed on Clavering Island in North East Greenland National Park, Greenland.
