False-colour aerial photograph of the Colorado River delta, in the Gulf of California. The original black and white picture has been coloured by the Colorvir technique. The river is the black hemispherical shape at the bottom of the picture. Its waters branch out (black) like the boughs of a tree through sandbars, which here are coloured blue.
