Description
Throat tissue. Fluorescence deconvolution micrograph of a section through throat tissue. This tissue sample includes skeletal muscle (left) and cartilage (right) associated with both the oesophagus and trachea. These tubes pass through the throat, carrying food and air respectively. Cellular proteins are highlighted with fluorescent markers: g-actin (red), f-actin (green) and smooth muscle actin (blue).
