Almadraba tuna fishing. Almadraba fishermen landing Atlantic bluefin tuna (Thunnus thynnus). The Almadraba technique is an ancient passive trapping method of catching Atlantic bluefin that uses a maze of nets that the tuna cannot escape. Here, the fish are being lifted into the cold store of the boat, where they will be filleted and frozen for transport to market.
