Artist's Description

Wheel loader. Man climbing onto the largest wheel loader produced in the world in 2004. It measures 6.5 metres to the top of the cabin, and 13 metres when the bucket is fully raised. The bucket has an area of 40.5 cubic metres and an operating capacity of 72.5 tonnes. It also has the largest tyres in the world, measuring four metres in diameter, 1.8 metres in width and weighing 7 tonnes. The vehicle is produced by Letourneau Inc., Longview, Texas, USA, for the mining industry.
