Tempel 1 comet. Satellite image of Temple 1 taken by NASA's Stardust-NExT mission on 14th February 2011 from a distance of approximately 245 kilometres. Tempel 1 is a periodic comet discovered by Wilhelm Tempel in 1867 that currently completes an orbit of the Sun every 5.5 years.
