Artist's Description
Illustration of a tear of the medial collateral ligament (tibial collateral ligament) on the right knee in a rear lateral view. Ruptures of the medial collateral ligament often occur together with meniscus and cruciate ligament injury. The illustration shows a grade 3 sprain, which is a complete tear of the ligament. Note: The distance from femur to tibia/fibula has been increased in the image for better visibility of the structures.
