Description
Pig farming. Piglets (Sus scrofa domestica) feeding on their mother's milk at a pig farm. Pig farming involves breeding sows being used to provide a continuous source of piglets. These are reared on their mother's milk, weaned, and then raised in finishing units before being slaughtered for their meat. This is the Liscausey Hall pig farm, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is operated by Andrew McCrea, winner of the 'Pig Farmer of the Year' category in the 2010 Farmers Weekly Awards.
