Description
MODEL RELEASED. Occupational therapist working with two 4-year old children who both have a delayed development of hand-eye coordination and of fine motor control specific to their hands. Here, they are playing with a marble game; picking up the marbles helps develop the tripod grip in preparation for holding a pencil, while watching the marbles rolling down the grooves encourages eye tracking movements. Occupational therapy is aimed at enabling people who have been disabled by physical illness or a serious accident to relearn muscular control and coordination, to cope with everyday tasks (such as dressing) and, when poss- ible, to resume some form of employment.
