Description
Mount St Helens, 3D satellite image. Satellite image showing the northwest face of the snow-capped Mount St Helens. Green is vegetation, white is snow and ice, and blue is water. Mount St Helens is an active stratovolcano (2250 metres) in Washington State, USA. The large crater at the top of the volcano, and the barren area (lower left) around it, were caused by a massive eruption in 1980. The surrounding forested area has been heavily logged. There are also several lakes (blue) in the area.
