Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Fullerene molecule. Molecular model of the spherical fullerene molecule C180. Fullerenes are structurally distinct forms (allotropes) of carbon. This one has 180 carbon atoms arranged in a spherical structure consisting of interlinking hexagonal and pentagonal rings. The spherical fullerenes are sometimes referred to as buckyballs, after the first such molecule to be discovered (C60, buckminsterfullerene).
