Wright brothers' glider. One of the Wright brothers piloting a test glider. This assisted take-off, with the other Wright brother and a helper, took place in 1902 at Kill Devil Hill, Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, USA. These test flights along with wind tunnel experiments allowed Orville and Wilbur Wright to construct the first ever powered flight aircraft, which was flown at Kitty Hawk in 1903.
