Description
Spleen tissue. Fluorescence deconvolution micrograph of a section through spleen tissue. This tissue sample shows a PALS (periarterial lymphatic sheath), a region of the spleen where B-cells are grouped around blood vessels (yellow). The spleen is an abdominal organ that contains red and white pulp that acts as a reservoir of white blood cells and red blood cells. Cellular proteins are highlighted with fluorescent markers: g-actin (red), f-actin (green) and cell nuclei (blue).
