Artist's Description
Spacewalk. Against the backdrop of a cloudy Earth, astronaut James S. Voss, payload commander, stands on a mobile foot restraint attached to Space Shuttle Endeavour by a remote manipulator arm. Note the reflection of the shuttle nose in his visor. This photograph was taken during mission STS-69 (7-18 September 1995) while Voss tested new tools and spacesuit accessories designed for use on board space stations. In his right hand is a camera, which he used to take snapshots during the spacewalk.
