Description
Nude mice dissection. Image 3 of 5. Nude mouse in a petri dish being dissected at an animal experimentation laboratory. Nude mice are a genetic variant of the mouse. They are hairless and have an atrophied or absent thymus gland, leading to a compromised immune system. It is this lack of immunity that is used when conducting experiments with nude mice. For the entire sequence, see images G352/407 to G352/411. For a close-up of a group of nude mice before dissection, see G352/412.
