Description
Cobalt hydroxide precipitate. Experiment showing the formation of a precipitate of cobalt hydroxide salt. When sodium hydroxide (NaOH, clear) is added to a cobalt chloride solution (CoCl2.6H2O, pink) the reaction produces sodium chloride (NaCl) solution and cobalt hydroxide, which is precipitated out of solution as a dark blue solid.
