Artist's Description
Artwork of an apple warping spacetime. It is said that Sir Isaac Newton observed a falling apple and realised that the force that pulled it to Earth was the same as the force that kept the Moon and planets in their orbits. By contrast, Albert Einstein described gravity not as a force, but as a curvature in the fabric of spacetime. Objects move, he believed, not because they were attracted by gravitational forces but rather because they merely follow the warps in spacetime that heavy objects create.
